Wetherall Lion In Lyre Horse Brass
Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses but also to be used as charms. Today they are popular as fireside decorations in both homes & pubs.
This beautiful cast brass was made by Wetherall Bond St W.I Ltd between 1901 and 1972. It depicts a rampant lion in a musical Lyre.
